Mechanical construction of HVAC and plumbing systems by Shapiro & Duncan involves extensive coordination of equipment delivery, trades, subcontractors and the general contractor.
Often, we serve as the prime contractor working directly with the owner. In addition to HVAC and plumbing systems, prime mechanical construction projects can include replacement or upgrading of fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, ceiling systems, roof systems and electrical/lighting systems.
Professional Project Management
At Shapiro & Duncan, successful mechanical construction is driven by professional project management.
Our project management teams are responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work delivered on time and within budget. Each team consists of one project executive, one senior project manager, two to three project managers, an assistant project manager and a project engineer. All are knowledgeable about project details, ensuring that any available team member can handle client questions.
Advanced Software Technology
For project scheduling and tracking, including equipment delivery dates, progress of trades and completion of key construction phases, our teams use a suite of leading-edge software tools that includes Project Management, Cost Accounting and Scheduling.
In addition, using CADPipe, Cad Mech TSI and Navisworks (for clash detection), our teams prepare coordinated composite CAD drawings to aid in planning, fabrication and installation.
Shapiro & Duncan takes pride in utilizing qualified minority subcontractors to meet diversity requirements on federal, state and local government contracts.
