Shapiro & Duncan designed the above HVAC system to accommodate the special requirements of the owner and his restricted budget. A variable air volume, VAV, system was crafted to provide individual space control for convenience and comfort at an installed cost below $8.00 per square foot. This system included among other items economizers, carbon dioxide controllers and night setbacks for energy efficiency.
